I have spent nearly all of my career in the auction world and for 25 years worked at Christie’s as a furniture specialist based in South Kensington, becoming a Director in 2005. For ten years I was part of the busy Interiors department which gave me a very broad experience of the decorative arts at auction and current market trends.

From 2018-2020 I have been working for the National Trust as a collections cataloguer, re-examining the furniture in their collections across the UK and enhancing the descriptions for the online catalogue at National Trust Collections.org.uk.  

I am a consultant to The Pedestal, an auction house providing online sales and regular live auctions at Stonor Park, near Henley-on-Thames. I have a special interest in early oak furniture and works of art.

I have been a member of the Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars since 2013, I am currently on the Vetting committee of the Olympia Art and Antiques fair, the Battersea Decorative Fair and Masterpiece London. I was a board member of the Arts and Antiques faculty of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) from 2001-2010.
